DAWN TUCKER
Born and raised in the Air Capitol of the world, Wichita, Kansas, I began working in the corporate world at a very young age. The journey of being a single, young mom was not an easy one; however, looking back, I recognize those moments of struggle are a large part of what helped strengthen, humble, and prepare me for owning my own business. The launching point of Dawn’s Designs started with me crafting an assortment of holiday fabric & mesh wreaths and quickly evolved into being invited to decorate homes of these networks of clients.

A few years later, my business grew substantially, and I hired my first team member, then my second, and so on. With the help of an AMAZING team, we became one of Wichita’s most- desired, top commercial and residential interior design and re-design companies in less than ten years!
While I love helping clients I made the decision to take a step back and only work on a few projects in order to reconnect with my family. During this time, my heart for Design and the Design Community continued to grow, and the breathing space helped me recognize a vital need in the industry-- Collaboration over Competition.
What Now: This journey has encouraged me to create a support network for my fellow industry leaders, providing them a platform to feel safe, ask questions, and be part of something bigger. So, in 2022, a team of myself and a few of my fellow designers formed Designers Supporting Designers Wichita (DSD), a group exclusive to the designer community in the Wichita area. This group was created for any Designer, Stager, Decorator, or Industry Leader who seeks collaboration and respects that we all have a place at the table.
